Description: A fine and early Fijian priest staff with tavatava carving to the rounded head. It has a rich reddish brown patina and would date to the very early part of the 19th century.


Dimensions: 144cm long.


Provenance: From the collection of William Herbert McGinty (Philadelphia, Pa) who travelled and collected extensively in the 19th century with his collection in storage since the 1930’s.
