Description: A 19th century Massim club with elaborate incised scrolling decoration to handle infilled with lime. The tapering blade has a row of drilled holes to end with remnants of fibre cord. The original collection label attached to the blade reads ‘Wooden sword ea south east coast Brit New Guinea’.
