Description: A finely carved very early 19th century circular community sized kava bowl. The triangular lug with two pierced suspension holes. Also of interest is a 19th century circular price tag for $8.


Dimensions: 51cm in diameter.


Provenance: Formerly in the Fiji Museum with the collection/accession number 46/30 located on the lug. Earlier collection/accession numbers are located on the base comprising ‘E’ in red and impressed numbers ‘551’
