MAORI WARS RIFLE

Description

30 bore Calisher & Terry breech loading rifled percussion carbine. This type of weapon was used by the colonial government of New Zealand (NZ Colonial Defence Force) from 1863. This rifle was either captured by the Maori fighting government forces or used by allied Maori. The walnut fullstock is carved all over with various incised designs.
